The Challenge
Fort Valley University needed a modern, campus-wide access control solution to replace its outdated system. Their priorities were clear: ease of use, internal management capability, and lower ongoing service costs. With thousands of daily door openings and growing security demands, the university required a partner who could deliver reliability and innovation.
Our Solution
We introduced Salto’s “Try Before You Buy” program, installing the system on select doors for a three-month pilot. The results spoke for themselves: seamless operation, intuitive software, and strong user feedback. This success led to a strategic decision—a full phased rollout across the campus.

- Six gate locations fully integrated into the system.
- 400+ dorm suites connected to bursar and scheduling software for automated room assignments and instant key card activation.
- 10,000+ daily openings managed effortlessly, with zero recurring software costs.
- Campus-wide lockdown capability implemented in partnership with public safety
